Open hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Closed: every Wednesday (open if Wednesday is a holiday),

Nukata Library
Open hours: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Days closed: every Monday (open if it is a holiday, and closed on the next weekday),
Year-end/New Year period (12/29-1/3)
Citizen's Center Libraries (Nambu, Chūō, Ōhira, Tōbu, Yahagi, Mutsumi)
Open hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (until 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays)
Closed: Every Monday, Year-end/New Year period (12/29-1/3)
Genkikan Information Library
Open hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Days closed: Every Monday, Year-end/New Year period (12/29-1/3)
Making a Library Card
Who may make a library card
A person living, working, or attending school in Aichi Prefecture may make a library card.
Registration place
Please fill in the necessary information on the application form at the popular library counter on the 2nd floor of the Chūō Library, or the Nukata Library, citizens' center libraries, or Genkikan Information library.
Belongings
Please bring something to prove your name and address (such as a driver's license, health insurance card, student ID, etc.)
Borrowing & Returns
When borrowing
Bring the materials you want to borrow and your library card to the loan counter.
One person may borrow up to 10 books, or up to 5 audio-visual materials (CDs/DVDs).
Items may be borrowed for up to two weeks.
When making returns
Please return materials at the return counter at the Chūō Library, Nukata Library,Citizen's Center Libraries, or Genkikan Information Library.
You may return materials to the return slot when the library is closed (Chūō Library,Nukata Library, and Nambu Citizen's Center Library only) .
Reservations & Requests
Reservations
If the book you want to read is checked out, you can make a reservation for it.
Reservations can be made on the internet, at the catalog machine (OPAC) in the library, at the counter, or by telephone.
Requests
If a material you wish to borrow is not available at the library, we will do what we can to accommodate requests for purchase or borrowing through inter-library loan.
Photocopies
When making photocopies
When making photocopies please complete a request form and after receiving confirmation from the staff you may use the copy machine.
The copy charge
Copies (up to A3 size) are ¥50/copy for color or ¥10/copy for black and white.
Copy machines are available at the Chuo Library and Nukata Library.
